The Gilded Age Renewed for Season Four at HBO
According to Cinemadrame News Agency, HBO has greenlit a fourth season of the series The Gilded Age. The final episode of the third season will air on August 10.
The synopsis for The Gilded Age, written by Julian Fellowes, reads:
“‘The Gilded Age’ in America was a period of immense economic change, of huge conflict between the old ways and brand-new systems, and of fortunes made and lost. The story of the series takes place amidst these transformations, beginning in 1882 with ‘Marian Brook’ (Jacobson), who, after the death of her father, moves from rural Pennsylvania to New York City to live with her wealthy aunts.”
Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Denée Benton, Louisa Jacobson, Blake Ritson, Harry Richardson, Simon Jones, Cynthia Nixon, Jack Gilpin, and Christine Baranski star in the series.
The first five episodes of the third season saw week-to-week viewership growth, with episode five drawing 4 million viewers across all platforms in the U.S. HBO says the series’ viewership has grown by 20 percent from season to season.
